"Vegrhnífr"
Vegrhnífr – The Way-Knife
The Vegrhnífr is a eplica of a Viking-era knife found in the rugged South Jǫtunheimen mountains, radiocarbon-dated to the Viking Age. A tool forged for those who venture into the wild, this knife was probably once a companion to a hunter or merchant, journeying along a mountain pass, until it was lost in the snow and preserved perfectly in the ice, to be found by archeologist over 1000 years later.
The blade is made from high carbon steel and has a thick spine to provide strength and reliability. It’s fitted with a beautiful curly birch handle, chosen for its natural beauty and durability. The tang of the knife protrudes from the handle, curled and adorned with a leather strap, just like the original artifact.
Whether you are setting out on your own adventure or seeking a dependable companion for your everyday tasks, the Vegrhnífr is built to accompany you at your side— a true "way-knife" that carries with it the legacy of early explorers.
